“I enjoyed seeing [the photos of Alex] particularly today as yesterday there was a polar bear scare in the neighborhood around our Zoo. Seems several independent observers called the cops to report a loose polar bear wandering their neighborhood. Yup, you guessed it: turned out to be a lost Samoyed.”

Better a benign samoyed on the prowl, than a loose bobcat! The folks in Greenfeild, MA have been prey to a marauding rabid bobcat!

12 years ago, when my (then) 2-year-old son was playing with Alex’s predecessor Sky in a playground in Melrose MA, another boy (who couldn’t have been more than 5) was very happy to have discovered a “polar dog”.
