   They are precious white beasties.

   I did have one question about Sami’s though (my cousins actually had one when I was little, but I cannot remember this). Do they fetch ? I see them tussling with the stick. My friends with malamutes say their’s don’t fetch so I wondered about Sami’s.

   PS – great doggie name, that’s my mother’s name (though my name would be a good dog name too).

   Why do some people have dogs instead of real homosapiens kids?

   Dogs are funner and cuter.
   Dogs cost less to feed and cloth and educate.
   Dogs can be left at home and while you go out for the evening.
   Dogs protect you from attackers/robbers.
   Dogs are housebroken in 3 months instead of 3 years.
   Dogs are funner and cuter.

   Stella — you are so right, dogs ARE more fun and are infinitely cuter, AND they grow up a lot faster, which means that the terrible obnoxious faze is only a fraction of the time that it would be with human children. And, you never have to worry about your puppy getting hooked on dope .

   I have raised both kids and dogs. I perfer the dogs.The dogs never leave you and come back broke and looking for their old room which was made into an office.Dogs give you unconditional love whereas children gauge their love by the amount of the check your currently writing to get them out of your house for the second..and alas, sometimes third time. Dogs dont work, and kids dont necessarily work either.Dogs dont complain about what you fixed for dinner. This sounds like a rant..i think this blog hit a nerve
