Dog hearing protection for aviation

My new hero is John Kounis, editor of Pilot Getaways magazine.  He made a doggie headset to protect his Lab’s hearing:

“While flying [Woody] wears a special doggie headset made from kneepads, foam, and velcro straps.”

That looks hilarious, but I’ll bet it works pretty well. I can’t imagine how a dog can stand the noise in a prop plane!

I’d like to see some pictures of this- surprised you didn’t show us any. Sould like a great invention. I know that my dogs (Shar Pei) would be crying at any altitude from all the noise!

Hi, a friend of mine has developed and patented a commercial product aimed right at this need, take a look at the web site. Thanks, Phil
