   I am disappointed to have missed the jazz festival. My wife and I spent last week in Newport but left on Thursday. I am surprised that your post was without comment on the history of wealth in Newport. We toured the “summer cottages” of the Vanderbilts and others and were amazed at how poorly the likes of Bill Gates and others live today compared to the super-wealthy of a century ago.
