I have drafted “A photographer’s guide to Botswana” and would appreciate corrections, suggestions, etc. (I know that the article isn’t comprehensive, of course, but one purpose of putting an intro on a site such as photo.net is that it gives true experts a place to park their knowledge via the comment link at the bottom.)

Were you ever able to get close enough to touch any of the more laid-back animals?
Is it possibly to state in general terms how long a trip is?

Chuck: We were never close enough to touch any animals. How long is a trip to Africa? As long as you want! Most people stay three nights per lodge. I probably should have said that!

Wow. Very nice pics, everyone looks friendly. After reading Dark Star Safari (your suggestion) I am personally too scared to visit Africa!
