<p>The Junior Fellows are selected from a pool of applicants each year. Scientists in physics, chemistry, biology, engineering and related fields are encouraged to apply. The fellows are supported by the Institute for five years.</p>
<p>Chris Richards launched the <a href="http://www.rowland.harvard.edu/rjf/richards/index.html">Propulsion Physiology Lab</a> to explore the physiology of &#8220;swimming machines,&#8221; with frog mechanics as a model. Among his group&#8217;s <a href="http://www.rowland.harvard.edu/rjf/richards/projects.html">activities</a> is to design a <a href="http://www.rowland.harvard.edu/rjf/richards/Project2.html">robotic frog</a> (&#8221;frobotics&#8221;.)</p>
<p><a href="http://www.rowland.harvard.edu/rjf/sato/sato.php">Yuki Sato </a> leads the<a href="http://www.rowland.harvard.edu/rjf/sato/sato.php"> Applied Superfluidity Group</a>, focusing on novel superfluid matter interferometry devices.</p>
<p>Both the <a href="http://www.rowland.harvard.edu/rjf/richards/apply.html">Richards</a> and <a href="http://www.rowland.harvard.edu/rjf/sato/cmembers.php">Sato </a>labs offer employment opportunities.</p>
<p>Rowland is accepting <a href="http://www.rowland.harvard.edu/rjf/images/RJF_2010.pdf">applications</a> for new Junior Fellows through November 30, 2009. A <a href="http://www.rowland.harvard.edu/rjf/faq.php">FAQ </a>is available.</p>
