About the SHLEP TEAM
Team SHLEP is in transition. (see our grand re-opening post, May 28, 2007). Law librarians Tammy Pettinato and Terry Conway are now co-editors of shlep, and may soon assemble another group of self-help law advocates and practitioners, who will be regular contributors to this weblog.
- Teresa L. Conaway is the Head of Public Services at the University of La Verne (California), and formely served as Head of Reference & Instruction, Texas Tech University School of Law Library. She was also a professor of paralegal studies for 12 years before becoming a law librarian. [You can contact Terry at: terry [AT] keleka [DOT] net ]
- Tammy Pettinato is a Reference Librarian at the UCLA Hugh & Hazel Darling Law Library, who received a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2005, and a Masters in Information Science at the University of Michigan in 2007. [You can contact Tammy at: trp [AT] yahoo [DOM] com ]
shlep was launched in September 2006. Its original editor was David Giacalone, of the f/k/a weblog. Mary Whisner of the Trial Ad Notes weblog also served as a co-editor and frequent contributor. Other members of the original shlep team were Maryland lawyer and law librarian John Cannan; lawyer and weblogger Richard M. “Rick” Georges (of Future Lawyer), and Americorps VISTA volunteer Orijit Ghoshal. Their postings can still be found at this website.
