It’s official – life has returned back to normal. It’s the Monday after New Years and my office has re-opened after an 11 day holiday recess. But to be honest, I’m glad to be back. Not just because I like my job but because, deep down, I really am a man of routine. I like to follow patterns in life and all that time off was wreaking havoc on my body.
Plus, looking back I realize that my little holiday was much busier than I expected it to be. I spent 3 days around Christmas on Cape Cod, 2 days mid-week in Manhattan, one night in the suburbs with friends on New Years Eve, And during the remaining time in the city, I hosted guests for 2 nights and met up with various friends for lunch, dinner or movies every day.
And, though I’m exhausted today, all of that love and human contact has made me realize how lucky I am. And it’s already making 2005 a better year than 2004.
On a side note (going back to my problem of being easily distracted, as discussed yesterday), as I’m tryping this blog I’m wondering why some yogurts (Stonyfield Farms) are so much chunkier than others (Yoplait)?
