iPods are mystical. They often develop an a mind all of their own.

my iPod was predicting my days for a while. As of late it has been in the mood for me to hear a good deal of The White Stripes and Dean Martin. …and odd combo.

Hey, David – I tend to recharge mine every two days – even though it doesn’t run out. I’ve been listening to it at my desk at work so I’d say it gets used between 10-12 hours and still has 1/2 it’s juice left when I re-charge it.

OK 1) That Neil Diamond song rocks. Don’t knock it.
2) “Music Box Dancer” is a cool little ditty.
3) My iPod does the same thing. For some reason I always end up hearing Charlene “I’ve Never Been to Me.” Don’t laugh.

How often do you recharge it.
I don’t even use mine every day, and lock it in the off position, but it still looses power……..

Thinking about Will’s comment. I’m just wondering how many Wagner opera’s one could get on an iPod. Maybe you could really fill it up with the best hits of Meyerbeer as well.

One can never underestimate the power of a great one hit wonder. Case in point: Music Box Dancer. It was cheesy, it was great!!! That’s the wonderful thing about pop music and music period. Once in a while something comes along that sweeps the nation and why does that happen. I guess we won’t ever really know. Though I have my theories (1-being that the Macearana was the dance of the str8 white man and 2-that the Electric Slide was a dance women could do without their Husbands). Think about it!!!!! Both one hit wonder songs. So Karl I am thanking you for the chuckle and for a fond childhood memory that will send me looking through the bargin bins for yet another one hit wonder. So once a year I can throw it on and smile as I bob down the street.

OK, I just got my Neil Diamond giggles under control, Karl–or should I say “Sweet Karloline, good times . . . .” Sorry.

You don’t have these problems if you’re into opera as I am. Wagner’s “Gotterdammerung” lasts four hours and forty five minutes. Berlioz’s “Les Troyens” about four and a half. We won’t even discuss some of the Russian operas. I’d probably get two of them, tops, on an iPod and there’d be no problem in the shuffle feature at all, just back and forth, back and forth between the two. Give it a chance–it would simplify things.
