Liz Donovan’s Retiring: Congratulations, Liz!

Liz Donovan, one of the superstar news librarians, is retiring today. Lucky for us, she plans to stay involved with the profession for at least a little while longer. Liz is retiring from The Miami Herald, but was at The Washington Post when the Watergate scandal broke. She blogs on at least three blogs that I know of: WeBlog for The Miami Herald, Infomaniac Behind the News, and NewsliBlog, which she established for the Special Libraries Association News Division. As publications director for the News Division, Liz oversaw my work as Webmaster for two years and gently prodded me into this blogging thing. (If you’re tired of reading my words on my seven(!) blogs, you can partially blame her.)

Many of her colleagues revere her and her technical expertise. She definitely deserved the Agnes Henebry Roll of Honor Award from the News Division.

Liz, congratulations on your amazing career and good luck and best wishes for a fun retirement.
