I want it on the record that someone with a PC laptop is having problems.

A few of you know about the many problems my Mac has been giving me. I’m tired of all the “Well, why didn’t you just buy a PC?” comments. Here’s evidence that PCs give people problems, too, unfortunately. I believe no machine is going to work flawlessly 100% of the time.

Besides, many of my tech friends can vouch for the fact that I can break just about anything involving computers. It’s no wonder my laptop stopped booting on Sunday and wouldn’t speak to me again until I was able to run some diagnostics about 24-hours later. Being computerless sucks, especially when you’re stranded in some strange dimension where the only way to learn about flight statuses and whether you can go home is via the Internet because the airline’s phone system is overloaded or offline for more than 48-hours. Thank goodness for cell phones and friends with Internet connections!

Hmm, my mac laptop has been wonky of late, though except for the eagerly awaited replacement airport card that’s on the way, it’s now, knock on wood, fine. I wonder if a lot of us mac-o-philes bought our laptops around the same time (in my case, when the white ibooks first came out) and they’re all getting old at the same time too.

I hope the age of my Mac isn’t the problem. I got mine this past spring.
