That’s so scary re: the knot in the umbilical cord. I’m glad Baby Cakes made it out safely.

Also, I think for a while, the appropriate name for this blog is, “My Life, As Told Between Baby Cakes’ Naps.”

We’re taking them to Round Table and picking it up this Sunday. We still need to buy the mattress and crib skirt, a rug, and maybe another picture. Otherwise, the nursery is pretty ready to go! Should be done soon and will definitely post pictures. We like to just look at it occasionally. =) I meant to pick up my old Eeyore doll and piggy bank while at home and totally forgot!

Yes, the seller had WD-40 so we tried it in her garage and it helped but didn’t stop it entirely. We couldn’t locate the exact cause of the squeaking which may have been the problem. I’ve been looking up other things to try but it really only squeaks if you rock too far back on it now, which we don’t anticipate doing anyways.

I feel the same way each time I purchase a pair of Cole Haan flats (with Nike Air) for work. Practical shoes win out.
