Reviving Heidi

December 31st, 2004

Reviving Heidi is a photo-essay by bookbinder and web developer Emma Jane Hogbin, documenting her first conservation project, a “revival” of a ca. 1955 reprint of Heidi. Hogbin, owner of the Strange Little Girl bindery in Toronto, has many more interesting photo-essays and binding notes on her site, but I find that I return to this one often, checking for updates and eagerly awaiting the next installment. This page is not for conservators or the bookishly faint at heart, but it seemed like an appropriate page to mention on a day when everything old seems quite new.
