Yahoo introduces RIA style shopping interface:

Yahoo! shopping released a shopping interface on October 16 for its most popular holiday products. This interface called smartsort does client side product sorting using sliders for user input. Heavily relies on javascript and is not responsive enough for me. Has a long way to go. The nice thing about it is, it lets users adjust whats important to them rather than arcane product specs.

Wow, I’m using Firefox and all I saw was the demo, but no “Smart Sort” when I try looking up products, anyone else have this issue on Firefox?

Yahoo Shopping does provide a good deal of traffic to its customers. Having worked with the Yahoo Shopping platform, I think it is limiting from the development perspective.

We have used Yahoo’s store platform and RTML, but have found that its lack of Dynamic capabilities and complete themes limit the platform in comparison to PHP based solutions.
