Doc, the videos and Peter's post you link to here are not from the conference. They are from a VRM Hub evening that happened the week before on 30th October. As you know, I set up the regular monthly VRM Hub evenings that take place every last Thursday of the month. I just started to experiment with the format and now have speakers on a particular VRM-related topic. More here: http://www.vrmhub.net/2008/10/vrm-hub-evenings/

I also organised the conference you came to last Monday as a larger VRM Hub event called 'Unlocking the see-saw'. The videos that I asked Alec to record are still being processed - we have about 4 hours worth of recording, which will have to be converted and edited somewhat. Will let you know when those come out or you can find out here: http://www.vrmhub.net

To add to the collection of post-conference links, here is also my summary: http://www.vrmhub.net/2008/11/unlocking-see-saw-conference-follow-up

From my perspective, it was a lot of work to organise it all, get speakers, venue, find sponsors, set topics & agenda and run the day, not to mention the speakers' dinner the night before, but it seems it was worth it in the end. I am not a conference organiser and don't want to get stuck in that groove but I realised it is one of the best ways to reach people with my ideas and to get them onboard.
