She is an emigre naturalized American returned Canadian citizen born in Germany, received a PhD in Art History from Harvard’s Graduate School of Arts & Sciences in 1991, and lives in Victoria, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island because it’s one of the most beautiful places on earth.
