Do you remember The Staples Commercial where “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” played in the background as parents joyfully shopped the aisles? Well, that’s how September feels to us here in the HLS Admissions Office.
Summer heat is giving way to crisp fall air, the leaves will begin to change soon, and the HLS campus has come alive again with students. It is a wonderful time of year for prospective law students to visit and learn more about studying law at Harvard.
J.D. Information Sessions with an admissions officer are offered on most Friday afternoons during the months of September, October and November and are followed by a student-guided tour. Each session and tour begins at 2:00pm and lasts about an hour and three quarters. If you are able to come and join us for a Friday afternoon session please register online: http://www.law.harvard.edu/prospective/jd/experience/infosessions.html
For those of you who won’t have the chance to travel to Cambridge this fall, opportunities exist for you to meet us on the road. The admissions staff and I will be travelling to Law School Forums and college campuses across the country. You can find our travel schedule here: http://www.law.harvard.edu/prospective/jd/experience/recruiting.html. If your campus is listed, your school’s pre-law advisor or career services officer will have more details about our visit.
In addition to these opportunities to learn more about HLS in person, I would love to hear your questions as you begin the process of applying to law school. If you submit your question here, I will take your questions and use them for subjects of some of my future blog posts.
We’re looking forward to meeting you and talking to you about Harvard Law School!
