The Longest Now

From the list of “things that should exist but don’t”:

Meter (in poetry and music) that rolls from 3/4 to 5/4 and back again, 3-4-5-4-3, one measure after another.   Variants for other strings of similar one- or two-measure meters.   Sometimes that’s the pulse of a song or a poetic edit cycle even when it doesn’t come out that way when written down, and I want a name for it!
