Kevin C. Bryant, suspendedEsq

lawyer acting really badly (allegedly)

A visit to my birthplace, has given me a chance to learn about the alleged crimes

of suspended Rochester-Greece, NY, lawyer Kevin C. Bryant.  Bryant, 46, is charged

with hiring his wife’s half-brother, for $5000 plus 50% of life insurance proceeds, to

kill his then 26-year-old wife, Tabatha, the mother of their two young sons, who was

shot and stabbed to death in July 2003.  On Friday, a judge will rule whether evidence

of prior, uncharged “bad acts” by Bryant will be admissible at the trial for first degree

murder.

The evidence purports to show that Bryant:  used cocaine, was regularly serviced by

prostitutes in his law office, and tried to set up his wife on a bogus drug charge a month

before she was slain in their Penfield home.  Bryant also allegedly told his sons at various

times several months before her death that, “Mommy won’t be around anymore.”  Find

more lurid details here: Papers Detail Bryant’s “Bad Acts” (Democrat & Chronicle, Rochester,

NY, Sept. 23, 2004)
